My affiliate sale is not credited properly. It says Personal sale. |
There can be a variety of reasons for this happening. Here are a few basic things to check.
- Make sure you entered a general % to pay in Merchant >> Setup
- Make sure you turned the affiliate Module and entered a % in Product >> Edit or when adding the product
- Do not change the cookie name in Merchant >> Setup. If you change it, all previous affiliate cookies will fail.
- This one is important!
Check the order page in your web page. Sometimes the link looks right when you over it. On your browser, click on View >> Source and look at the order URL in it's raw HTML form.
It must look something like this
https://wahmcart.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi?adminid=2&pid=1300&quickbuy=1
not this
https://wahmcart.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi?adminid=2&pid=1300&quickbuy=1
Notice the & it must be &. Some web site editors will change it for you when you publish the site. Edit it in it's raw html form or use your web host control panel to edit.
If your affiliates tell you they are not being credited for their sale, please ask them to check their raw URLs too.
